While in Seattle for a gig at the Tractor Tavern Jake Blount and friends stopped by Ballard Books

While In town for a gig at the Tractor Tavern noted folk artist Jake Blount dropped in with a couple of bandmates.

HIs new album The New Faith, is "a towering achievement of dystopian Afrofuturism and his first album for Smithsonian Folkways). The New Faith is spiritual music, filled with hope for salvation and righteous anger in equal measure."

He left with a copy of Alan Lomax's seminal study The Folk Songs of North America.
