Author's first book and early volume of in The Yale Series of Younger Poets. During his lifetime, Williams (pseudonym of Oscar Kaplan) edited numerous poetry anthologies. His anthologies sold more than two million copies, a nearly unheard amount for books of poetry. Many of his anthologies are still being republished today.
