Frozen by Fire is a history in verse of the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire of 1911 and its aftermath. The story spans more than a century, beginning with working conditions in New York's garment industry. It describes the events leading up to the fire and the fire itself, the effect of the fire on the country, and the boost it gave to labor organizers and advocates for women's rights.
